Rannsóknasetur um smáríki starfar undir Alþjóðamálastofnun Háskóla Íslands. Setrið var stofnað árið 2001 og hefur skapað sér sess sem eitt af fremstu rannsóknasetrum heims innan smáríkjafræða. Meginmarkmið setursins er að stuðla að rannsóknum og menntun um smáríki og beita sér fyrir framgangi smáríkjafræða á Íslandi og í alþjóðlegu samstarfi.

Small States Summer School 2024

The Centre for Small State Studies is hosting its small states summer school in Reykjavik, Iceland, from 12-17 August 2024. The school, Small States and the Current Security Challenges in the North Atlantic, is organised with support from the Nordplus Higher Education Programme.

The module will introduce students to the literatures on foreign policy analysis and small state foreign policy and build on these general insights when zooming in on small state leadership in foreign policy and diplomacy
